Introducing the M-E1, the world’s first full-size performance foldable e-bike. A revolutionary new e-bike designed for the urban rider, the M-E1 is equipped with Shimano Steps E6100 and a Deore drive train, and folds in seconds with a single quick release.
The M-E1 offers the same ride quality as a non-folding mid-drive e-bike, but can be stored in the closet, train, or car trunk, keeping it safe from theft and out of the elements.
PORTABILITY
When folded, the M-E1 can be effortlessly rolled for easy transport. Roll it into the elevator, up to the office, or into your apartment. Take it in the train, bus, or car trunk for a multi-modal commute.
SECURITY
Traditional e-bikes are not ideal for the city, where riders don’t want to lock their valuable investment on the street and space is limited indoors. The M-E1 can be stored safely and securely in a closet.

The M-E1 does not sacrifice ride quality to offer the most convenient e-bike on the market. Full size 700c wheels and industry standard components deliver the high performance riders demand.
SHIMANO E6100 STEPS
The Montague M-E1 comes equipped with a Shimano STEPS E6100 mid-drive motor, the newest premium e-bike system from the world leader in bicycle components. The compact, lightweight, and powerful system ensures you will arrive at your destination feeling fresh and invigorated.
EASY FOLDING
Our patent pending design makes folding fast and effortless. A single quick release unlocks the frame, allowing the front half to rotate around against the rear wheel. The weight of the bike is supported by the kickstand, so you don’t need to lift or balance the bike while folding. A second quick release on the stem folds the handlebars for an even more compact size.
Step-through design and adjustable saddle height allows for one frame size to fit riders from 5’4″ – 6’4″.
